Frequently Asked Questions

My claim was denied. Am I entitled to a second opinion from Frontline Adjusters?

Yes! Many of our clients were told their claim was denied. We simply reopen the loss, negotiate with your insurance company, and insist they pay for viable damages.

What is the cost of hiring Frontline Adjusters?

In nearly every case, once we have performed our service and seen to the settling of the claim, we are compensated by referring to the restoration project to our trusted sister company Greater Good Restoration Inc.  In this case, the insurance proceeds are used to complete the project, and our fee is waived. In the case that our restoration services are not utilized, a small percentage of the amount recovered from the Insurance Company is paid directly from the insurance proceeds.

Is there a minimum value required for a claim to be made?

We only get involved in claims where our services are needed. Therefore, there is no claim too big or too small. Just give us a call to discuss your claim, and we will give you our professional opinion.

When should I call Frontline Adjusters?

You should call us immediately after a loss. It is most beneficial for all parties when we are involved at the beginning of the claim development so we can set the tone for the entire process.

Who regulates a public adjuster?

A public adjuster is an insurance adjuster expert who is licensed and certified by the Illinois Department of Insurance to work exclusively for the benefit of the policyholder

Who uses the services of public adjusters?

Public Adjusters are hired by individuals and all types of businesses and professionals, including attorneys, banks, accountants, business owners, and even insurance adjusters and agents for their own losses. Once a person has experienced the benefits of our services, they will never attempt to settle a claim without our help.

What is the difference between a public adjuster and an insurance company adjuster?

The insurance company adjuster or independent claim adjuster are both employed by the insurance company and can’t protect both your interest and the interest of his/her employer at the same time. The insurance company adjuster will often offer to settle a claim for the sum they see fit, which is not always in favor of the policyholder.  A public adjuster is an insurance adjuster expert who works exclusively for you, the policyholder. We are experts in reading the final print and understanding your policy, coverage, and the insurance company’s responsibilities in order to negotiate a better settlement.

If my claim has been closed by my insurance company, is it too late to hire a public adjuster?

Usually, it is not too late. Many policies within Illinois allow up to two years to settle an existing claim from the date of loss. If you do not believe you were paid the right amount and would like us to review your claim, please contact us. We will carefully audit and analyze your claim and give you our professional opinion.

Will my insurance company cancel my policy if I hire a public adjuster?

No. It would be a serious violation for any insurance company to discriminate against you in any way for exercising a right given to you by the State of Illinois.

What is a public adjuster?

A public adjuster is an insurance claims adjuster who advocates for the policyholder in appraising and negotiating an insurance claim. A public adjuster is the only type of claims adjuster that can legally represent the rights of an insured during an insurance claim process.

Will I get a higher settlement if I hire a public adjuster?

Almost always! You will receive a higher settlement from the insurance company than if you do not use a public adjuster for the simple reason that your claim will be presented much more favorably and with careful attention to your policy coverage. Typically, the more detailed and complete your claim, the higher the settlement. We go through all the evidence, step by step, very carefully inspecting the loss site and accurately documenting the damage. Studies have clearly demonstrated that most inventories compiled by insurance without the help of the public adjuster are very incomplete.

Will my insurance rates increase if I file a hail & wind claim?

Insurance companies do not single individuals out for making a hail and wind claim. Each year, insurance carriers raise rates based on the number of claims that are filed within your zip code. So after a storm, whether or not you file a claim, you will see a small increase in your premiums.
